What is NtegraCare™ Vendor Management?

NtegraCare™ Vendor Management is our way of ensuring that your technology vendors are supplying your business with the best possible support and that any solutions your vendors are supplying are meeting the needs of your company.

Why do I need NtegraCare™ Vendor Management?

We’ve found that many companies deal with their technology vendors by conveying an employee or owner to handle the requirements.  Often this creates some very interesting problems as well as being quite cost ineffective.  As an example:

Employees in a company are working along and suddenly realize that internet connectivity has gone down.  A call is made to the tech support company.  A technician shows up, checks out the situation and realizes that the internet service provider (ISP) for the company is at fault.  Basically, internet access has been cut off to the building.  So the technician collects his fee and tells the business owner that the internet service provider (ISP) needs to be contacted.  So the business owner, being extremely busy, asks one of his employees to contact the ISP to see what the problem is.  John, the employee chosen to call the ISP, was in the middle of generating a proposal for another client, but because the internet is so important to everything the business does, breaks off and contacts the ISP.  John spends the next two hours on the phone with an ISP technician, following directions, flipping the router on and off, and basically doing everything the ISP technician is telling him to do.  Finally, the internet light on their router comes on and the ISP technician says, “Looks like your internet is back online.”  The ISP technician then confirms that they can see the router from their side.  John thinks, “Excellent! Now I can get back to work.”  John runs over to his desk, tries the internet and realizes that it is still not working.  He tells the ISP technician that they still don’t have internet access from their machines.  The ISP technician tells him that he sees connectivity to the router and cannot assist John any further because the problem is internal to their network.  John lets the business owner know that the ISP technician informed him that there is nothing more they can do and recommends calling back their local tech support company.  So, again, the computer technician shows up, re-evaluates the network and realizes that all of the settings on the router have been reset.   He informs the business owner that this is the reason why none of the computers can now connect and wasn’t like this when he left this morning.  John says he doesn’t know how that happened and indicates that he only did what the ISP tech told him to do, since he doesn’t know much about these things.  The computer tech spends another hour fixing the problem and then walks out the door with another check in hand.

How much money did that business just lose?

Twice they had a computer tech come out at an hourly rate and evaluate their problem, John spent two hours of his “on-the-clock-time” on the phone, the business proposal he was generating may now be potentially late or rushed, the business owner was pulled away twice to deal with the issue and hours of unproductive or not fully productive time was spent by all the employees without internet connectivity.

These are the kind of situations that NtegraCare™ Vendor Management can help businesses prevent.  We manage your technology vendors, we sit on the phone, we interpret the situation and we deal with the problem.  Honestly, who better to deal with these technology troubles then the individuals who know you computer network and know how you do business?

Is NtegraCare™ Vendor Management Expensive?

No, in fact, we like to think of the cost savings of NtegraCare™ Vendor Management as a win-win for our clients.  One, it is much cheaper than having a hired employee take care of the problem and two, since we will deal with the issues, chances are problems will be resolved faster, meaning more productive time for the business.
